Founded in 1862, LeMoyne-Owen College (LOC) stands as the fifth-oldest Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in the nation and a cornerstone of Memphis education, empowerment, and community leadership. As the only HBCU located in Memphis, Tennessee, LOC has been shaping generations of leaders through its commitment to academic excellence, cultural enrichment, and social responsibility.

The SCM Awards is an annual celebration created to honor the visionaries, trailblazers, and dedicated talents shaping the culture of Hip-Hop and R&B. Founded and produced in Memphis, TN, the ceremony recognizes the outstanding achievements of underground, independent, and major artists, as well as the DJs, producers, record labels, videographers, entrepreneurs, models, graphic designers, tattoo artists, and countless other creatives who keep the industry moving forward.
