SMG Mac Steve (@SMG.Mac_steve367) is an independent underground hip-hop artist, producer, and respected figure within the Southern rap scene, with deep ties to both Atlanta and Memphis music culture. Known as “The Most Known Unknown,” he has spent years building his name behind the scenes through music production, studio engineering, live performances, and collaborations with some of the South’s most recognized artists.
Rooted in the foundation of Southern trap music, SMG Mac Steve’s sound is driven by heavy bass, street narratives, club energy, and the authentic feel that helped shape Atlanta and Memphis hip-hop throughout the 2000s and 2010s.
In recent years, SMG Mac Steve has continued expanding his catalog with a strong focus on new music releases and consistent content across streaming platforms. His standout single “On The Floor” has become one of his biggest regional records, continuing to build momentum through viral streaming growth and heavy independent promotion throughout 2025 and into 2026.
He further pushed the movement with the release of “On The Floor” under Prezidential Records on April 3, 2026, featuring multiple variations including the “DJ Club Version,” “Like A Mac Intro,” and the original single. His catalog also includes long-running projects such as SMG Volume 1 and SMG Volume 7, helping document his continued grind and influence within underground Southern hip-hop culture.
